Glenn Fry

Self-Description
Silk screening is my medium!! I love it!!
I consider my art modern and contemporary with influences from the Pop Era, ancient Egyptian art, as well as the Propaganda posters from the early 1900's. I like to produce art based on real life situations and emotions and I do that by giving people a topic or scenario to contemplate. Once I have my topic, I seek out models to photograph. Once I finish the photo shoots and decide upon the exact photograph that I want to use, I then incorporate text in to the layout. Incorporating text into the art helps me to better convey my message but without being too specific. Once I complete my layout, I then am ready to produce my screens and start printing. I print in various sizes and on all various materials-paper, canvas, wood, and glass-and often in combination. You can view my art on line at www.glennfryart.com.
