Self-Description
I am Post Extra and so are you.

What exactly is Post Extra? Well, even I am still working to figure it out, but the best way to describe it is no rules and no regulations.

I reject the consumerism of Post Modernism.

I admire the love and natural appreciation of the Romantics.

I reject the rigidity of Modernism.

The birth of Digital cannot be ignore, but should be used to take our lives back rather than feed deeper into the postmodern consumerism. Digital is our chance for a political and art revolution where visual, written, spoken, performed, sculpted all join together in a way that can change the world–and it is already starting!

Post Extras are recyclers in every sense of the word. We draw from all forms of media and thought, past and present, and scavenge them for the parts that worked. However, unlike Postmodernist, Post Extras don’t just recycle the past for the sake of trend–we learn from what went wrong before and make that into something itself.

There is much more and I want you to help me figure it out. Not sure what I am talking about?

Check out my website and let's start a discussion.
Bio
I come from Kennett, a tiny town no one has heard of in the southern most part of Missouri. Upon escape to the University of Missouri, Columbia, I tried out a few majors before settling on creative writing. I graduated with a BA in English in May of 2007.

I followed my partner to DC the month after graduation, and that great English degree won me a day job.

So here I am.
